Social Value

We aim to build the next generation of UK software engineers.

Westpoint runs a structured six-month engineering academy that takes junior talent and produces production-ready engineers: every one of them employed or actively sought for partnerships.

Our Success

Westpoint Academy graduates are now leading delivery on real client projects, moving from structured training into trusted engineering roles.

They work with senior teams, own production features, and help clients turn complex ideas into reliable software.

That is the measure of the Academy: people who started as junior talent now carrying meaningful responsibility on live projects.

Programme Structure

A six-month programme built around real engineering

1
Weeks 1-4

Remote lessons

Structured sessions make the Academy accessible while keeping candidates on a clear weekly rhythm.

Where Training Becomes Work

Live project integration is the difference

After the technical foundation, candidates join an active Westpoint team on a real client or internal project. They are not observing from the edge of the room: they are learning how software is delivered when quality, time, communication, and ownership all matter at once.

Real team

Candidates join an active Westpoint delivery team and work inside normal engineering routines.

Real projects

They contribute to live client or internal projects, not isolated classroom exercises.

Real delivery

The work is shaped by deadlines, quality expectations, code review, and production constraints.

Real ownership

Candidates practise communication, accountability, judgement, and follow-through.

UK Social Value Alignment

Built into how we operate

Built around the social value principles reflected in the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 and the PPN 002 Social Value Model, Westpoint Academy embeds skills development, employment opportunity and inclusive supply-chain participation into how we develop engineers, not as a compliance add-on, but as part of how we build lasting delivery capability.
