The challenge

How can a global automotive services leader unify field data, reduce technician friction, and gain real-time operational insight—without disrupting live operations?

Belron is one of the world’s leading vehicle glass repair, replacement, and recalibration groups, operating across multiple regions with thousands of technicians working both in branch locations and in the field.

As the organisation scaled globally, field and vehicle data became increasingly fragmented. Inspection results, repair information, and operational signals were spread across multiple systems, making it difficult to form a consistent, reliable view of what was happening on the ground.

Technicians often relied on manual or fragmented inputs during day-to-day jobs, introducing friction into workflows and increasing the risk of inconsistency or error. At the same time, limited cross-regional visibility made it harder for operational teams to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Belron needed a solution that could centralise vehicle and field intelligence, improve technician workflows, and provide actionable insights—while integrating seamlessly with existing systems and avoiding disruption to ongoing operations.

Solution

VIFI — a mobile-first, cloud-native platform for vehicle intelligence and field insights.

Westpoint designed and delivered VIFI (Vehicle Intelligence & Field Insights) — a unified platform built to support technicians in real working conditions and give operational teams a clear, data-driven view of field activity.
